Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 11-14-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ACCIDENTS:

On November 9, a 16-year-old Kincaid female was backing out of a parking spot and backed into the guide wire for a utility pole. The female said that she was unable to see the guide wire.

On November 9, Jennifer S. Goeschel, 33, of Tovey, was traveling eastbound on Illinois Route 104. At approximately 750 East, a deer ran onto the roadway from the south. Goeschel struck the deer with the front of the vehicle. The was damage to the front bumper area of Goeschel. No injuries reported.

On November 12, a 16-year-old Taylorville male was traveling west on 330 North Road at about 2525 East. The male then hit loose gravel and lost control. The male started to spin and went into the south ditch facing east causing damage to the passenger side. No injuries were reported.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ACCIDENTS:

On November 13, Kristen M. Rodriguez, 18, of Taylorville advised she had stopped at the intersection of Sportsman and Springfield Road and advised she saw Brian L. Beazley, 27, of Springfield approaching from her right. Rodriguez advised she though she had enough time to cross traffic and enter the parking lot of Larry's located directly in front of her. After entering the intersection, Rodriguez was struck by Beazley. Rodriguez was issued a citation for failing to yield at a stop intersection. Beazley advised he was traveling east on Springfield Road when Rodriguez pulled out in front of him. Beazley advised he did not see Rodriguez until just before impact. Both units were towed by Larry's and no injuries were reported.

 

THE PANA POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

Following a traffic stop on November 13, Rob M. Survance, 34, of Assumption was issued a citation for speeding 65mph in a 45mph zone.
