Adams Resigns as CCEDC President

Regional Radio News has learned that Dick Adams, president of the Christian County Economic Development Corporation and a board member, has resigned effective immediately.

Adams submitted his resignation in an e-mail to board members released yesterday.

Adams was the first president of the C-C-E-D-C when it was organized in 2003, and has been president of the organization most of the 10 years it's been in existence.

In his resignation letter, Adams said that it's been his honor to serve, with economic development being the most important issue facing the people of Taylorville and Christian County.   Adams added that job creation, retention and economic development have always been and will remain Taylorville’s greatest challenge.

Dee Krueger of Lincoln Land Community College, who has been serving as the corporation's vice president, becomes the new president of the organization effective immediately.

A call to Adams for comments has not been returned.
