Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 11-12-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Joshua B. Keathley, 33, of 49 Illini Drive, Taylorville was arrested November 10 on a warrant for theft/unauthorized control and hold other agency.

Norman E. Huddlestun, 45, of 1608 West Elm Street, Taylorville, was arrested November 11 for domestic battery.

Nicholas S. Hurlburt, 26, of 55 East 3rd Street, Pana, was arrested November 9 for disorderly conduct.

Paul E. Allen, 18, of 220 North 1960 East Road, Pana, was arrested November 10 for wilfully violating park district code, battery, and violating order of protection.

Laura E. McCombs, 53, of 1709 East Percy, Springfield, was arrested November 8 for reckless driving.

Bradley W. Bennett, 30, of 415 South Grant Street, Pana, was arrested November 9 for speeding 40+ MPH over the limit.

John A. Strahan, 31, of 10800 Hyssop Street, Port Richey, Florida, was arrested November 10 for aggravated battery.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On November 10, a Taylorville Police Department officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Vine and Webster Streets. The officer found Steven Smith, 39, of Atlanta, IL to be the driver. The officer confirmed Smith's license is revoked. Smith was arrested, transported to Taylorville Police Department, processed and released.

On November 11, Taylorville Police Department officers were sent to 1608 West Elm in reference to a domestic battery. Officers spoke with Maria Huddlestun who stated her husband Norman, 45, of Taylorville grabbed her by the arm and pushed her down onto the couch. Maria had marks on both arms. Norman was arrested for domestic battery. He was transported to Taylorville Police Department where he was processed and then transported to Christian County Correctional Center to be lodged.

On November 9 at 1:05am, a Taylorville Police Department officer observed Cory A. Jones, 28, of Taylorville who appeared to be intoxicated walking westbound in the 200 block of West Main Cross. The officer got out with Jones to check welfare and confirmed he was under the influence of alcohol. Jones was arrested for public intoxication and resisting an officer. He was transported to Taylorville Police Department for processing and issued a notice to appear.

On November 10 at 5:26am, a Taylorville Police Department officer was patrolling southbound on Cheney Street and saw a white Honda driving northbound on Cheney with the right headlight out. The officer stopped the vehicle at Cheney and Springfield. The officer spoke to Nicole L. Gaynor-Erwin, 21, of Taylorville and advised her that her right headlight was out. The officer asked her for her driver's license and insurance card. Gaynor-Ewing said she did not have her driver's license on her. The officer ran her info through the Taylorville Police Department Law Enforcement Agencies Data System and the driver's license came back suspended. Gaynor-Ewing was arrested and transported to Taylorville Police Department where she was processed and released on a citation for driving suspended.
