Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 11-4-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

ACCIDENTS:
On October 27, a Christian County Sheriff's Deputy was dispatched to US Route 51 at 63 North for a deer and car collision. Upon arrival, the officer observed Jessica L. Cloe, 28, of Herrick stopped on the northbound shoulder of US Rote 51. Cloe had front end damage. Cloe stated that the deer entered the roadway from the west and continued across the roadway to the east. The deer then entered the northbound lane at which point Cloe struck the deer. Cloe then came to a stop on the northbound shoulder. No injuries were reported.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

ARRESTS:

On October 31 at 5:56pm, Taylorville Police Department officers were dispatcher to Taylorville Memorial Hospital in reference to a report of battery. Following investigation, Megan R. Kinser, 19, of Taylorville was arrested for battery. Kinser was released on a notice to appear.

On November 2, Taylorville Police Department officers were sent to 412 South Shumway in reference to a disturbance in the upstairs apartment. Officers heard a female and a male screaming and also heard items being thrown around. Officers made contact with the female that lives in the apartment. The female stated that Cory J. Workman, 24, of Taylorville, had ran out the back door. After a short foot pursuit, officer took Workman into custody. Workman was transported to Taylorville Police Department and charged with resisting or obstructing a police officer.

On November 2 at 2:34am, a Taylorville Police Department officer made contact with Ronald E. Hall, 41, of Taylorville who was stumbling on the sidewalk near Walnut and Franklin. Upon further investigation, Hall was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

ACCIDENTS:

On October 31, Heather M. Whitaker, 30, of Taylorville was heading east on Bidwell Street. Sean E. Neville, 18, of Taylorville pulled out and began turning left onto Bidwell. Whitaker hit the driver's side of Neville. Neville stated that it was dark and the truck on the corner blocked his view of Whitaker.

On November 1, Nichole R. Brown, 29, of Taylorville and Linda K. Henry, 32, of Sullivan were slowing/stopped at the intersection of Spresser and Cheney Streets. A 16-year-old male dud not slow his vehicle in time and struck Brown. Brown was then pushed into Henry. The 16-year-old's airbags deployed. No injuries were reported.
