Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 11-1-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Jennifer A. Girard, 25, of 817 West Market, Taylorville, was arrested October 31 on a bond forfeiture for driver's license revoked or suspended.

Leda L.P. Ward, 38, of 218 West Boyd, Taylorville, was arrested October 31 on a bond forfeiture for possession of cannabis.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ACCIDENTS:

On October 29 at 6:07pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer was dispatched to Springfield Road and Cheney for a traffic crash. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with Blake Durbin, 19, of Morrisonville and he advised he was in the right turn lane to go south on Cheney Street. Durbin then advised that the brakes went out on his truck and he struck the back of Randy K. Mitchelson, 59, of Taylorville. Mitchelson advised he was in the turn lane and was struck from behind by Durbin. No injuries were reported.

 

THE PANA POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

On October 22, both William D. Sweetin, 82, of Pana and Becky D. Miller, 46, of Pana were parked in the parking lot of Pana Save-A-Lot. Sweetin backed out of the parking space and backed into Miller. No injuries were reported.

On October 29, a 16-year-old from Tower Hill was issues a citation for speeding 45 mph in a 30 mph zone.

On October 29, both Kent J. Holthaus, 40, of Pana and Angela J. Oldham, 46, were parked at the Pana High School. Holthaus backed out, turned too sharp, and struck Oldham in the driver's rear door. No injuries were reported.
