Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 10-25-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Michael L. Droke, 23, of 312 East Taylorville Road, Langleyville, was arrested on October 25 for retail theft/display of items and failure to appear.

Jason E. Newberry, 41, of 317 East Shawnee Street, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 for failure to appear.

Joshua C. Wells, 23, of 604 North Western Street, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for possession of cannabis.

Brad Stimac, 25, of 709 West Vandeveer Street, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for amount of narcotics schedule I & II

Lacey L. Sparling, 29, of 709 West Vandeveer Street, Taylorvillle, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for amount of narcotics schedule I & II

Destiny R. Rickman, 34, of 2100 Grand Boulevard Apt. 2E, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for other amounts of narcotics.

Kaylene S. Reber, 24, of 720 North Silver Street, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for the manufacturing and delivery of cannabis 10-30 grams.

Jessica L. Mizeur, 31, of 608 Arlington Drive, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for other amounts of narcotics.

Jacob L. Kirchoff, 29, of 811 West Park Street, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for manufacturing and delivery of cannabis 10-30 grams.

William S. Jordan, 40, of Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for non-narcotics schedule I&II

Samantha J. Gatton, 27, of 317 East Main Cross Street Apt. 1, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for non-narcotic schedule I&II

Danielle M. Gatton, 25, of 1073 East 1025 North Road, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for non-narcotic schedule I&II

Diane M. Durbin, 53, of 821 East Lewis Street, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for other amount of narcotics.

Robert J. Dodd, 57, of 821 East Lewis Street, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for other amount of narcotics.

Ashley L. Dodd, 32, of 330 South Plum Street, Moweaqua, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for other amounts of amphetamine.

Kimberly A. Daniels, 32, of 725 East Thompson Street, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for other amount of narcotics.

Orville B. Craig, 36, of 1009 West Pauline Street, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for other amount of narcotics.

Tammi G. Brown, 40, of 715 East Poplar Street, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for other amount of narcotics.

Damery L. Binkley, 31, of 30 Fairview Trailer Court, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for other amount of narcotics.

Amanda R. Binkley, 24, of 30 Fairview, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for other amounts of narcotics schedule IV.

Michael K. Bennett, 25, of 317 South Curtis Street, Edinburg, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for possession of cannabis. Also arrested on view for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

Rickie L. Abbott, 35, of 604 North Western Street, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for methamphetamine delivery.

Theresa M. Bush, 52, of 1985 East 700 North Road, Pana, was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for non-narcotics schedule I&II.

Mitchell R. Neece, 31, of 1924 South Houston Street, Taylorville, was arrested on October 24 on a bond forfeiture for battery by making physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature.

Caralee A. Cooper, 44, of 1590 North 1800 East Road, Taylorville was arrested on October 24 on a warrant for driver's license revoked or suspended.

ACCIDENTS:

On October 22, a 16-year-old male was traveling westbound on Illinois Route 104. At approximately 175 East Road, a deer ran into the road way. The 16-year-old was unable to avoid striking the deer. No injuries were reported.

On October 22, Felicia R. Messado, 21, of Shelbyville was traveling southbound on Illinois Route 29 approaching North Eaton Street. Messado said she could not tell Tiffany A. Kalka, 31, of Taylorville, was slowing down. Messado said that when she noticed Kalka stopped, she tried braking but could not stop in time due to water on the roadway and struck Kalka. Kalka stated that she was slowing down due to a car in front of her turning. No injuries were reported.

On October 22, Brittni N. Harrison, 29, of Taylorville stated that she was southbound on Prairie Street and saw a vehicle westbound on South East 4th Street. Harrison stated that she tried to break once she noticed Alex S. Brockamp, 17, entering the intersection but was unable to do so in time. Harrison struck Brockamp in the passenger's side near the rear of the vehicle. Brockamp stated that he was almost through the intersection when Harrison struck his vehicle. No injuries were reported.

On October 23, Dakota J. Rudow, 21, was traveling east bound on 00 North Road approaching the intersection of 2500 East when a deer entered the roadway. Rudow attempted to avoid striking the deer by swerving to the left. Rudow then left the roadway to the northeast of the intersection and traveled approximately approximately 30 yards before entering into a pond. Rudow was immersed in the water up to the middle of the doors. No injuries were reported.

On October 23, Harry R. Harden Jr., 44, of Taylorville was traveling eastbound on 1450 North Road. At approximately 1075 East, a deer came onto the roadway from the south. Harden struck the deer with the front right bumper of the pickup causing damage to it. Harden was not towed from the scene. Harden came to the Christian County Sheriff's Office to report the crash. No injuries were reported.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

ARRESTS:

On October 25 at 12:59am, a Taylorville Police Department officer observed Chloe Windell, 19, of Taylorville driving a vehicle while her license is suspended. Windell was arrested for driving suspended and resisting or obstructing a peace office. Christopher Crow, 29, of Taylorville was arrested for public intoxication and resisting or obstructing a peace officer. Both were transported to Taylorville Police Department for processing.

On October 25 at 12:55am, Taylorville Police Department officers were out at Fairview Tailer Park. While officers were conducting an investigation, Michael Droke, 23, of Langleyville appeared from one of the trailers. Officers knew Droke to have a valid Christian County warrant which was confirmed through the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System. Droke was arrested and transported to the Christian County Correctional Center.

On October 25 at 12:10am, a Taylorville Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle because the registered owner was suspended. Upon further investigation, Dawn E. Thompson, 25, of Decatur was arrested for driving suspended. Thompson was transported to Taylorville Police Department for processing and released on a notice to appear.

On October 24 at 11:23pm, Taylorville Police Department officers made contact with Jason E. Newberry, 41, of Taylorville in the alley way off of Long Street just south of East Park Street. Newberry was arrested for a valid warrant out of Christian County and was transported to Christian County Sheriff's Office in lieu of bond.

On October 22, Amanda M. Irwin, 26, of Taylorville and Norma J. Cearlock, 73, of Taylorville were both traveling southbound on East Park Street. Cearlock said the vehicle in front of her turned on his turn signal and slowed down to turn. Cearlock said she slowed down and was struck in the rear end by Irwin. Irwin said she did not see Cearlock slowing down and could not stop in time before striking he in the rear end. No injuries were reported.
