Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 10-14-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Breanna K. Hobbs, 23, of 705 East Poplar Street, Taylorville was arrested October 11 for a juvenile warrant.

Amy N. Kronkow, 21, of 418 Taft Street, Taylorville, was arrested October 12 for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Cody L. Henson, 20, of 996 North Linden Avenue, Decatur, was arrested October 12 on a bond forfeiture for burglary.

Travon D. Fairlee, 22, of 2108 Bradley Court, Springfield, was arrested October 12 on a bond forfeiture for failure to appear.

Adam D. Pritchett, 25, 1203 Brantley Road, Taylorville, was arrested October 12 for possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Alexander B. Shanks, 20, of 610 South Webster Street, Taylorville, was arrested October 13 on a warrant for possession of liquor by a minor.

James R. Koehne, 45, of 210 Hickory Street, Kincaid, was arrested October 13 for domestic battery.

Brittany D. Ashlock, 19, of 100 East Vine Street, Taylorville, was arrested October 13 for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kody E. Campbell, 21, of 510 West Maple Street Apt. 4, Taylorville, was arrested October 14 for possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving on a suspended license.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On October 10 at 11:31am, Matt Hutchison called and needed a Taylorville Police Department officer at the Taylorville High School in reference to two juvenile females stealing iPhones from the girl's locker room. Both juvenile females were arrested, processed, and released to their mothers.

On October 11, Taylorville Police Department officers went to 705 East Poplar Street and made contact with Breanna K. Hobbs, 23, of Taylorville that one officer knew to have a valid warrant out of Christian County. The officer ran her information through the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System and verified the warrant. Hobbs was placed under arrest and transported to Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond.

On October 11, Taylorville Police Department officers were dispatched in reference to ana assault. Officers arrived and spoke to a juvenile and his parents. Upon further investigation, the juvenile was arrested for aggravated assault and criminal damage to property. The juvenile was processed and released to his mother.


On October 13 at 12:09am, Taylorville Police Department officers were out at 107 West Main Cross in reference to loud music and a noise complaint. Following investigation, Robert W. Dillon, 20, of Taylorville and Dalton A. Rozplochowski, 18, of Taylorville were arrested for illegal possession/consumption of alcohol by a minor. Dillon and Rozplochowski were transported to Taylorville Police Department, processed, and released with a notice to appear.

 

THE PANA POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

 

On October 9, an employee at Dollar General in Pana reported an incident of retail theft involving a 25 year old female. The case is under investigation.

 

On October 9, Debra K. Garland, 36, of Pana was issued a citation for driving while license suspended.

 

On October 11, John A. Lyons, 66, of Decatur was stopped at a stop sign facing southbound at the intersection of Illinois Route 16 and 2600 East Road. Amy C. Beyers, 28, of Springfield was westbound on Route 16 approaching the intersection. Lyons, who was pulling a trailer, proceeded into the intersection without yielding to oncoming traffic. Beyers struck Lyons in the rear driver’s side wheel. The momentum of the vehicles carried them south through the intersection where a secondary impact between the front of Beyers and the front of the trailer occurred. Lyons had moderate damage to the rear driver’s side wheel and the trailer had minor damage. Beyers had major front end damage. Lyons was issued a citation for failure to yield. Beyers reported minor injuries but refused medical attention.

 

On October 12, a 16-year-old female failed to yield turning left when she struck John H. Buerk, 77, of Pana. Both vehicles had minor damage and no injuries were reported. The 16-year-old was issued a citation for failure to yield when turning left.

 

On October 13th, Alexander B. Shanks, 20, of Pana was arrested on a Christian County warrant for failure to appear on the charge of consumption of liquor by a minor. Shanks was transported to Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond.

 

After an incident on October 4th at Locust and Third Street, information will be sent to the State’s Attorney Office seeking a curfew violation charge against a 13-year-old female.
