Two Taylorville Residents Arrested for Armed Robbery at Aaron's

Two Taylorville residents have been arrested for an armed robbery. Friday night around 8:55pm, Taylorville Police Department responded to an armed robbery at Aaron’s Sales and Lease located at 714 West Springfield in Taylorville. One of the suspects confronted an employee of the store with a handgun and demanded money from the cash drawer of the business. The suspect fled the store with an undetermined amount of money and personal items belonging to the employee. The employee was not injured during the robbery. A search of the area was conducted with the assistance of the Christian County Sheriff’s Office. The scene was processed by the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigations Unit. The firearm has been recovered.

 

During the investigation, suspects were identified and located at a campsite near Lake Taylorville a few hours later. 26-year-old Steven L Goodrich of Taylorville and 24-year-old Josh M. Goodrich of Taylorville were arrested and are being held in the Christian County Correctional Center pending formal charges for armed robbery
