THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

ACCIDENTS:

On October 2nd, Roberta S. Adams, 45, of Springfield, was traveling east on County Highway 2 at 1120 East. A deer then entered the roadway and Adams swerved to miss the deer. Adams lost control and went into the south ditch and hit a utility pole that is owned by Shelby Electric. The pole was broken off and wires were down. No injuries were reported.

ARRESTS:

Roger S. Hampton, 53, of 5 East Lawn Drive, Taylorville, was arrested October 2nd on a bond forfeiture for possession of cannabis.

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On October 2, a Taylorville Police Department officer made contact with Roger S. Hampton, 53, of Taylorville at his residence. The officer knew Hampton had a valid warrant out of Christian County. The officer ran his information through the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System and verified the warrant. Hampton was placed under arrest and transported to Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond.
