September Flu Clinics at the Shelby County Health Department

The Shelby County Health Department will have walk-in Influenza and Pneumonia vaccination clinics for adults ages 19 and older. There will be a walk-in clinic Monday thru Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 4:00pm, as long as vaccine is available.

 

The Center for Disease Control recommends Pneumonia vaccination for all people 65 years and older. A booster is requires if you were vaccinated before the age of 65. To be protected, people need to be vaccinated for influenza yearly. Guidelines recommend routine influenza vaccination for all people 6 months of age and older.

 

The health department is a Medicare participating provider and will accept Medicare and Medicaid payment in full for Flu and Pneumonia vaccinations. Please bring your Medicare and/or Medicaid card to the clinics. The fee is $38.00 for a Flu vaccination and $95 for a Pneumonia vaccination if you are not covered by Medicare or Medicaid. No one will be denied a Flu vaccination for inability to pay.
