Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 9-25-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

ARRESTS:
Todd A. Richter, 37, of 220 North 1960 East Road, Pana, was arrested September 24 on a bond forfeiture for driving on a suspended/revoked license.

Christopher R. Carnahan, 35, of 220 East Franklin Street, Taylorville, was arrested September 24 for driving on a suspended license.

ACCIDENTS:
On September 23, Rebecca J. Reed, 59, of Edinburg was parked and not occupied in a drive on the west side of the road. Reed was facing east and James R. Dowdy, 67, of Edinburg was facing south. Dowdy was backing to the north and turning west into the driveway when he backed into Reed. No injuries reported.

On September 23, Jamie K. Forbes, 36, of Auburn was westbound on Highway Route 104. At approximately 250 East, Forbes struck a deer in the roadway receiving front-end damage. No injuries were reported.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On September 24 at 2:55am, Taylorville Police Department officers received a report of criminal damage to property at 2100 Grand Boulevard Apartment A6. Upon arrival, one officer observed a glass coffee table that had been broken. The female complainant advised the suspect was in Apartment B2. The officers made contact with Walter D. Harker, 50, of Taylorville and he was arrested for criminal damage to property. Harker was transported to Taylorville Police Department for processing and released on a notice to appear.

On September 22 at 1:44pm, Taylorville Police Department officers were advised of a report of a male subject driving an unregistered vehicle with no license. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle at that time. Christopher E. Willings, 51, of Taylorville was later located on Park near Long. Willings admitted he had a suspended driver's license and that he had driven the vehicle and parked it down the road. Willings was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended.

On September 24 at 4:40pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer was contacted by an off duty Sheriff's Deputy in reference to Todd A. Richter, 37, of Pana who was wanted on a warrant. Following investigation, Richter was arrested and transported to Christian County Correctional Center.
