Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 9-13-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

ACCIDENTS:

On September 12, a Christian County Sheriff's officer was sent to a single vehicle accident with no injuries. Upon arrival at 1880 North 2225 East Road, the officer saw the vehicle off the roadway and partially in a field. The officer spoke with Ryan E. Spellman, 26, of Macon who stated he was unfamiliar with the road and was unable to see due to the weather. Spellman ran off the roadway at a curve and struck a property line marker.

On September 12, Isaac D. Roethemeyer, 17, of Taylorville was traveling south on 1400 East road when he lost control of the vehicle and drove into the ditch off the left side of the roadway. Roethemeyer then hit a mailbox with the right side of the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

On September 11, Tyler W. Brammeier, 26, of Moweaqua, was traveling southbound on 2500 East Road when he went over into the gravel on the west side of he road and lost control. Brammeier went cross the road and went into the east ditch. Brammeier's vehicle went on its side and slid approximately one hundred yards before coming to a rest on the roof of the vehicle. Brammeier had minor injuries and his vehicle was towed from the scene.

On September 12, a 16 year-old female was traveling south on Route 51 when she reportedly dosed off for a few seconds. She then lost control of the vehicle and drove off the road and rolled the vehicle which came to a rest on its top. She was taken to Pana Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

ARRESTS:

Adam J. Kee, 22, of 111 North Brents Street, Langleyville, was arrested on September 12 on a bond forfeiture for theft.

Christopher W. Maltby, 24, of 1465 North 930 East Road, Taylorville, was arrested on
September 12 on a bond forfeiture for driving under the influence of alcohol.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

ARRESTS:
On September 12 at 5:20pm, a Taylorville Police Department observed Daniel Watkins, 23, of Morrisonville wlaking in the parking lot of Rene's. The officer knew Watkins to have a valid Shelby County warrant. The officer had Dispatch verify the warrant through the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System. Watkins was placed under arrest and transported to the Christian County Correctional Center.

On September 12 at 6:51pm, Christopher Maltby, 24, of Taylorville, came to Taylorville Police Department post to turn himself in on a Christian County warrant. Dispatch verified the warrant through the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System. Maltby was then transported to the Christian County Correctional Center.

ACCIDENTS:

On September 5, Sharon D. Mense, 72, of Taylorville was traveling east on Spresser Street and was just past the intersection of Spresser and Shumway Streets. An unknown vehicle that was traveling west on Spresser Street, turned in front of Mense causing a collision. Mense's vehicle suffered slight damage and was able to leave the scene. The other vehicle left the scene and was not identified.

 

THE PANA POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

On September 12, McQuade A. Hardy, 17, of Tower Hill, was issued a citation for illegal squealing/screeching of tires.
