Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 9-11-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING INCIDENTS:

On September 10, Patrick R. Grant of Owaneco contacted the Christian County Sheriff's Office to report criminal damage to his bean field. Grant advised the field is located at 900 East and 1100 North with this field being up on the northwest corner of the intersection. Grant said that a vehicle had drove up and down the field and had turned circles in the beans. He could tell where it went through the ditch in several different places when entering or leaving the field. Grant said that it had most likely occurred in the late night hours of September 9 or the early morning hours of September 10. He did not have a value for the damaged beans at the time of the report.

On September 19, William Kramer, 48, of Palmer contacted the Christian County Sheriff's Office to report damage to his bean and corn fields. Kramer stated sometime overnight unknown subject(s) drove through several of his fields near his residence located at 700 North 965 East Road.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ACCIDENTS:

On September 7, a 16-year-old male was traveling north on Cherokee Street and was passing through the intersection of Cherokee and Market Streets. Helen L. Fiaoni, 87, of Taylorville was traveling east on Adams Street and stopped at the stop sign at the intersection. Fiaoni did not see the 16-year-old and proceeded into the intersection causing a collision. Fiaoni had to be towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.

William Thomas' vehicle was parked at the SOS building. An unknown vehicle struck Thomas' vehicle and left the scene. Thomas' vehicle had damage all down the passenger side and to the rear bumper. There was also white paint transfer on the vehicle.
