WTIM Newstalk 97.3 in Taylorville held its 7th annual Telethon to raise money for the United Way of Christian County yesterday. United Way executive director Malia Hepburn, along volunteers Terri France and Carol Schramm, co-hosted the 2-hour telethon with WTIM president Randal J. Miller. Hepburn says the agencies they support really do serve the needs of the people in Christian County

Thanks to the generosity of WTIM listeners from across Central Illinois, $2000 was raised to benefit the 26 member agencies that serve over 11,000 people in Christian County.  Many of the donors that called in pledges were first-time donors, which pleased United Way officials.
