THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

ARRESTS:
Joe F. Rule, 57, of 713 East 2675 North Road Mecahnicsburg, was arrested July 27 for domestic battery.

Holly A. Conaway, 19, of 704 East Poplar Street, Taylorville, was arrested July 27 on a bond forfeiture for failure to appear.

Tilur M. Miller, 19, of 525 East Park Street, Taylorville, was arrested July 26 for manufacturing and delivery of cannabis.

Randall W. Haynes, 54, of 713 East 2675 North Road, Mechanicsburg, was arrested July 27 on a bond forfeiture for driving under the influence of alcohol.

ACCIDENTS:
On July 28, Angela M. Stokes, 23, of Moweaqua, advised she was eastbound on Illinois Route 48 around 9:40pm when she struck a black Labrador dog that was on the highway near 200 East Road. Stokes sustained substantial damage to the passenger front quarter panel and fog light. Stokes said she was not injured nor in need of medical attention.

On July 25, Ann M. Moomey, 22, of Owaneco was traveling eastbound on 2300 North Road and Ray L. Melton, Jr., 41, of Edinburg was traveling northbound on County Highway 22. Moomey did not stop at the stop sign at the intersection of 2300 North and County Highway 22. Moomey hit Melton, Jr. on the left side of the bed of the pickup. Moomey had damage on the front end of the vehicle and Melton, Jr. had damage to the rear end bed area of the pickup. Moomey and Melton, Jr. were both towed from the scene by Larry's Service Center. Moomey and Melton, Jr. both refused medical service.

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On July 25 at 1:18pm, Taylorville Police Department dispatch took a report of a male subject passed out in his vehicle in the middle of the road. The vehicle had left prior to the officer's arrival. The officer later spoke to multiple people who identified Cody M. Pugsley, 27, of Taylorville as the driver of the vehicle. Pugsley was contacted to come to post to be issued a citation for driving while license was suspended.

On July 25 at 9:21am, Rhonda Turner, 49, of Taylorville, arrived at Taylorville Police Department. Tester advised McKinney threw a drink and came at her and she was only defending herself when she struck McKinney. Tester was arrested for battery, processed and released on a notice to appear.

On July 26 at 6:34pm, Taylorville Police Department officers were responding to a call of male subjects harassing a female on South Washington. The female stated that two juvenile males had been texting her in reference to an incident from the night prior. She said they were near the train station on Second Street. One officer located one male walking on Second and stopped to talk with him. The other officer spotted the second male at the basketball courts in Manner's Park. The officer said his name on the PA and instructed him to walk towards the patrol vehicle. The 16-year-old male turned towards 19-year-old Tilur Miller, of Taylorville, with his left hand at his side. As he walked past him, he attempted to pass Miller an item. Miller dropped the item and then attempted to pick it up discreetly while the 16-year-old attempted to distract the officer. The officer instructed the 16-year-old to stand still and approached Miller on the basketball court. The officer patted down Miller and felt a bulge in his front right pocket. The officer removed it thinking it was the item the male had attempted to pass off and discovered $765 and a small bag containing a green leafy material purported to be cannabis. In another pocket the officer discovered what had fallen to the ground, a large bag of purported cannabis. Miller and the 16-year-old were placed under arrest for manufacturing and delivery of 10 to 30 grams of cannabis. Both were transported to Taylorville Police Department for processing.

On July 28th at 2:18pm, a Taylorville Police Department was dispatched to Amity Food Mart in reference to a theft that had just occurred. Upon further investigation, George A. Nash III, 41, of Virden was arrested for retail theft.

On July 25, a Taylorville Police Department officer was on patrol and saw a red Jeep traveling east on Franklin Street. Two of the male passengers did not have seat belts on. The officer stopped the vehicle in the 400 block of West Franklin. After investigation, the male juvenile driver was arrested for driving while license is suspended. Two other male passengers were issued citations for failure to wear seat belt.
