Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 7-25-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:


ARRESTS:
Jessica S. Wehner, 19, of RR3 Box 24, Pana, was arrested July 24 on a original arrest warrant for possession of an amount of controlled substance. (720 570/402-c)

Charles E. Coleman, 61, of 1831 East Decatur, Decatur, was arrested July 25 for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Jessica L. Brello, 26, of 1932 East Decatur, Decatur, was arrested July 25 for theft/control inte (720 5/16-1-a-1-a)

Tyrone A. Powyszynski, 39, of 10 Webster Street, Pana, was arrested July 24 for violation of an order of protection.

ACCIDENTS:
On July 22, Alyshia M. Rightnowar, 23, of Kincaid, was westbound on 1025 East Road approaching 1350 North Road when a deer ran out in front of her. Rightnowar tried to avoid striking a deer and lost control. Rightnowar ended up in the right hand ditch and had front end damage and right side damage. No injuries were reported.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:


ARRESTS:
On July 22 at 9:04pm, 911 received an open line call. The 911 dispatcher could hear male subjects talking about drugs. The call mapped out to the area of England and Houston. Taylorville Police Department officers were sent to check the area. Following the investigation, Michael A. Blake, 25, of Taylorville was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and Jesse E. Mollet, 25, of Taylorville was arrested for manufacturing and delivery of cannabis.

On July 23 at 5:27pm, Taylorville Police Department officers were out at 48 Fairview Trailer Park in reference to Deric Brown, 26, of Springfield. Brown had a valid Sangamon County warrant which dispatch confirmed through the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System. Brown was arrested and transported to the Christian County Sheriff's Office.

 

ACCIDENTS:
On July 21, a Taylorville Police Department officer was sent to Arby's for a hit and run traffic crash. Brittany A. Fleming of Taylorville said her vehicle was parked in the southeast section of the parking lot at 6:30am. When she was getting ready to leave at 2:00pm, she noticed the damage to the passenger side rear bumper. No suspect information is known at this time.
