Thomas McKinney asked the Taylorville Park District Board at their meeting Monday night for permission to bring his Ice Cream Truck to Manners Park. The Board approved the request as long as he just sells ice cream for now and not drinks because they do not want the possibility of money being taken away from the concession stand during little league season. The Board also heard from Maintenance Superintendent Gary Brown who told them they will be losing their Pepsi machines. Brown said with the amount of machines they had, the cost to maintain them was outweighing the money they were making from them. Brown added he talked to Pepsi about bringing back just one machine next spring and seeing how that works out.
