The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Shelbyville has announced that all regular boat ramps and Dam West Beach are now available for use.  The boat ramps and beach were temporarily closed due to high water, but a recent break in rainfall has allowed them to reopen.

In celebration of the beach reopening, Lake Shelbyville will be hosting a water safety carnival on Saturday, July 27 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Children and adults of ages all are welcome to attend.  The beach fee will be waived for the entire day to allow all beach users a chance to come out and enjoy the free games and activities.
