New details have emerged in the death investigation of a Taylorville resident. On Monday night at 11:36, 911 received a call from a male in the 500 Block of Washington Street that his wife was unresponsive in the bathtub.  Emergency responders transported 59 year old Mary J. Agnew to Taylorville Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead Tuesday morning at 12:20. An autopsy was held in Bloomington Wednesday afternoon.  Autopsy results are pending toxicology testing.  The investigation continues with the Taylorville Police Department, Illinois State Police zone 4 Investigations, Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services, Christian County State's Attorney, and Christian County Coroner handling the investigation.
