The 50-year-old man who was struck and killed by a car has been identified as Phillip Todd Haines of Pana. Haines was killed on U.S. 51 when a Ford Explorer driven by a 49 year old Assumption man struck him while he was for some reason, out in the middle of the highway. Haines was pronounced dead at the scene by the Christian County Coroner.
