As heard on Newstalk 97.3 WTIM, the Taylorville Tornadoes baseball team started off Regionals with a 5-3 victory over the Decatur-Eisenhower Panthers. Blake Peters picked up the win for the Tornadoes going five innings allowing two runs on five hits and striking out five. The Tornadoes advance to the regional final on this Saturday May 25 at 11:00am and will face the winner of the Mount Zion and Rochester game which takes place today. As heard on Solid Gold 94.3 WRAN, the Shelbyville Rams came from behind to beat Harrisburg 3-2 in eight innings in sectional play. The Rams advance to the sectional final and will face the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes on Saturday May 25th at 10:00am. That game will be on Solid Gold 98.3 WRAN.
The Taylorville Lady Tornadoes softball team begins regionals today against Mount Zion. Game time is 4:30pm and will be on Newstalk 97.3 WTIM.
