Former WTIM Broadcaster Doug Quick Honored

Long time central Illinois TV and Radio broadcaster Doug Quick has been accepted into the Mid-America Emmys "Silver Circle" for his years of dedication and service to central Illinois television. The "Silver Circle" honors individuals who have made a significant contribution to broadcasting in their community and most notably for his passion to preserve broadcast history. Quick started his in radio career right here on WTIM in 1974 and told Regional Radio how he got that opportunity.

Quick is currently the Chief Weather Anchor and Co-Anchor at WCID, Channel 15 in Champaign. Quick was born and raised in Taylorville and said it was a great place to grow up.
