The Taylorville Farmer’s Market is now underway.  Last week’s rainy Saturday was the “soft opening” for the event, which takes place every Saturday from 9am till 1pm.  Market Manager Ed Downs says it’s a little early for most produce, but nevertheless, they’ll have plenty of goods Saturday:

Downs says there will be a variety of gift baskets for Mother’s Day available Saturday.  The Farmer’s Market in downtown Taylorville will take place every Saturday from 9am till 1pm through October.  Along with fresh produce, offerings will include baked goods, fresh eggs and crafts.
