Even though no watches or warnings were in effect in Christian County, a tornado touched down at about 5:42 Thursday afternoon about 3 miles north of Owaneco near the Owaneco-Stonington blacktop.
Regional Radio listeners provided us with multiple pictures and video from Facebook, that at least 3 different people took, of the tornado on the ground.
Dust could be seen flying as the tornado came down. No injuries or damage have been reported to our newsroom.
The Midwest was in the “slight risk” category for severe weather on Thursday, but again, no watches or warnings were issued.
