Area Arrests 5-3-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REPORT THE FOLLOWING:

Connie Gallagher, 64, of Paris, Illinois was arrested on May 2 for failure to appear. 

Terrie L. Campbell, 46,of 510 West Maple Street Apt. 4 Taylorville, was arrested on May 2 on a bond forfeiture warrant for failure to appear. 

TRAFFIC:

Matthew R. Reed, 31, of Blue Mound was south bound on 2300 E. Rd. 174 ft. north of 500 north rd when he hit a bump in the roadway and lost control. Reed ran off the roadway and into the right ditch.  He remained upright until he hit a embankment around a culvert.  Reed overturned and landed approximately 30ft. south of where he hit the embankment. 

On May 2, Jennifer S. Thompson, 39, of Moweaqua was traveling eastbound on CR-4, at approximately 2136 East when she hit water covering the roadway.  Thompson said she began to hydroplane and then struck a utility pole.  She then spun 180 degrees and slid dwon a waterway for approximately 50 ft.  No injuries were reported at the time of the accident. 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING CALLS:

On May 1 at 10:03 a.m., a Taylorville Police Officer made a traffic stop on Illinois license plate#1036753 just norht of Trinity Dodge on Rt. 29.  The driver was identified as Susan R. Fisher, 34, of Springfield.  Fisher stated she did not have a license.  A check of her license came back as suspended.  Fisher was arrested for driving witha suspended license and issued citations for driving with a suspended license and speeding.  Fisher was processed and released on a notice to appear. 

On May 2, a Taylorville Police Officer saw Mary Mize, 36, of Nokomis, driving at the corner of Main Street and East Park.  The officer knew Mize to have a suspended license.  THe others stopped Mize, and it was verified through Law Enforcement Agency Data System.  Mize was attested and transported to the Taylorville Police Department.  She was processed and released on a notice to appear. 

On May 2, at 11:45, Taylorviile Police Officers made contact with Terri L. Campbell, 46, of Taylorville who had a valid warrant of Christian County.  She was placed under arrest and trasnported to Christian County Sheriff's Department. 

On May 3, at 1:23 a.m. a Taylorviile Police Officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle at Main Cross & Cherokee.  Upon further investigation, the female driver Tammy M. Browing, 42, of Taylorville was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.  She was transported to the Taylorville Police Department where she was released after posting bond.
