Jerry Mahr of the Christian County Senior Citizens Center was the speaker at the Taylorville Kiwanis Club meeting Tuesday. He spoke about the activities, and services offered by the Senior Center. Card games, day trips, painting classes, bingo, knitting, computer classes, and dancing are just a few of the activities available. They also provide a taxi service for the area seniors to doctor’s appointments, beauticians, grocery stores and more. Over 27,000 trips were made last year alone. Another 11,000 meals were delivered to area seniors last year through their meal on wheels program. The Senior Center is open daily from 8am-4pm.
