THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

ARRESTS

Skyler J. Gist, 22, of 308 James Street, Bulpitt, was arrested on February 28 on a bond forfeiture warrant for possession of liquor.

Brittany A. Dilley, 25, of 214 E. Sarah Street, Assumption, was arrested on February 28 on a bond forfeiture warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Quinton A. Lancaster, 22, of 903 Hawley Street, Taylorville, was arrested on February 28 on an original arrest warrant for violating an order of protection.  

Rodney L. Green, 29, of 403 S. Clark Street, Pana, was arrested on February 28 on a bond forfeiture warrant for unspecified statute. 

TRAFFIC

Shelby F. Schmale, 20, of Saint Liberty Illinois, was southbound on Rt. 48 at 975 North Rd., and slowed for a turning vehicle ahead.  Maria L. Belsher, 30, of Morrisonville was southbound in her 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier and failed to reduce speed and struck Schmale in the rear end of her 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT THE FOLLOWING:

A Taylorville Police Officer was called to 412 West Second Street, Taylorville, in reference to a vehicle that struck their property and left.  Taylorville Police Officer observed damage to their fence and a tree.  The vehicle owner and driver were located.  The driver of the vehicle was issued a citation for failure to give information after striking unattended vehicle or property, and one for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. 

On February 28, at 11:43 am, Taylorville High School contacted the Taylorville Police Department about two female juveniles fighting at the school.  A Taylorville Police Officer spoke to Assistant Principal Mr. Hutchison.  Mr. Hutchison told the officer that both parties were involved in a mutual fight.  Both juveniles were arrested and transported to the Taylorville Police Department for City Ordinance Violation - Fighting.  Both juveniles were processed and released to their parents.
