Pension reform attempts have again come to a stalemate in the Illinois House.  The latest efforts were dismissed by Republicans, who said the whole thing was a joke.  Rep. Wayne Rosenthal of Morrisonville says the sides are still a long way apart:

The state has a near 100 billion dollar pension liability.  Rep. Rosenthal says a promise is a promise, and the contracts should be enforced.
