The Illinois Department on Aging is warning Central Illinois Senior Citizens about a new scam. Local Public Advocate Mac McGwire says you should never give private information to callers.

The latest scam has a caller posing as a bank official. According to the Department on Aging, the crooks have so far made off with about $7,000.
