>>Alabama Rolls Past Notre Dame To BCS Title

(Miami Gardens, FL)  -- Alabama ran all over Notre Dame on its way to a 42-14 victory in the BCS
National Championship Game from Miami.  Everett Golson tossed for 270 yards with
a touchdown and interception for the Fighting Irish, who suffered their first
loss of the season to fall to 12-and-1.  Golson added a rushing touchdown while
DaVaris Daniels made six catches for 115 yards in the loss.

>>Bears To Interview Dennison, Bevell

(Lake Forest, IL)  --  The Bears are reportedly seeking interviews with a pair of offensive coordinators. 
ESPN reports Chicago has received permission to interview Rick Dennison of the
Texans and Seattle's Darrell Bevell.  The Bears met with eight candidates last
week and talked to Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy on Sunday.  Sources
also reported to ESPN that the Bears interviewed Montreal Alouettes coach Marc
Trestman yesterday.

>>Illini In Action Tomorrow

(Champaign, IL)  --  Illinois faces a huge early-season Big Ten test tomorrow night when it hosts 10th-ranked
Minnesota at Assembly Hall.  The 13th-ranked Illini improved to 14-and-2 with a
1-and-1 Big Ten mark on Saturday with a win over Ohio State.  Minnesota comes in
with a 14-and-1 overall record and at 2-and-0 in conference play.

>>NHL Camps Could Open Soon

(undated)  --  The NHL has reportedly set tentative start dates for training camp and regular season games.  With a new Collective Bargaining Agreement tentatively reached by the league and the
Players' Association, CBC reports the NHL sent out a memo Sunday night to teams
saying they anticipate training camps will open sometime between Saturday and
next Monday.  The report also said the league is hoping to be in a position to
start a 48-game regular season beginning Saturday, January 19th.
