The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic crash which resulted in the death of 34 year old Thomas C. Wiseman of Palmer

Saturday morning just after 1:00 Christian County 911 received a telephone call reporting a two vehicle head on collision on County Highway 22 at 1900 North Road with one person injured and trapped in the vehicle.

Christian County Sheriff’s Office, Stonington Fire Department, and Dunn’s Ambulance all responded to the scene. 

Evidence at the scene indicated that Mr. Wiseman was traveling south on County Highway 22 in a 2002 Saturn when he crossed the center line into the northbound lane of traffic striking a northbound 2008 Chevrolet truck. Further evidence at the scene indicates that alcohol was a factor in this crash.

Mr. Wiseman was extricated from the vehicle by Stonington Fire Department and was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Springfield by Dunn’s Ambulance. Mr. Wiseman was pronounced dead at 2:45 PM Saturday. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

The other driver did not require treatment at the scene.
