(Lake Forest, IL) -- The Bears signed veteran offensive lineman Andre Gurode on Tuesday. Gurode played in 13 games with Baltimore last season but did not catch on with a team this year.
The five-time Pro Bowler has started 127 of 151 career games. The Bears also
waived defensive tackle Amobi Okoye and signed offensive lineman Derek Dennis
and wide receiver Dale Moss to the practice squad.

(Baton Rouge, LA) -- The SEC football coaching landscape could be changing. LSU head coach Les Miles
reportedly has been offered the same job at Arkansas. WAFB in Baton Rouge
reports Miles was offered a five-year deal worth 27-and-a-half-million-dollars
to coach the Razorbacks. Arkansas is seeking a replacement for Bobby Petrino
after parting ways with interim head coach John L. Smith on Saturday.
>>Mizzou's Dixon Not Charged With Rape
(Columbia, MO) -- Missouri senior guard Michael Dixon was reportedly accused of rape but not
charged in an August incident. The "Post-Dispatch" reports the case was closed
on November 16th after the Boone County prosecuting attorney's office declared
there was insufficient evidence to charge Dixon. Dixon was suspended from the
Tigers basketball team by head coach Frank Haith and Missouri officials declined
to comment on his future.

(New York, NY) -- The first head of Major League Baseball's Players' Association has passed
away. Marvin Miller died Tuesday morning at the age of 95. Miller helped major
leaguers form a union in the late 1960s and served as its leader until 1982. He
guided players through three strikes and a pair of lockouts.
