An Illinois State Police trooper was stuck and killed on Interstate 55 just after nine this morning. Reports indicate Kyle Deatherage was off his motorcycle during a traffic stop when he was hit by a near mile
marker 62 in Litchfield. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Deatherage
joined the ISP in May 2009. He leaves behind a wife and two kids.
