>>Texans Top Bears In Defensive Struggle

(Chicago, IL)  --  Houston forced four turnovers as the Texans defeated Chicago, 13-6.  Bears QB
Jay Cutler threw for 40 yards and two interceptions before leaving with a
concussion.  Jason Campbell came on to throw for 94 yards on 11-of-19 passing. 
Brandon Marshall made eight catches for 107 yards.  Chicago dropped to 7-and-2
with the loss.  The Bears play next Monday night at San Francisco.

>>Rams Play To Tie With Niners

(San Francisco, CA)  --  The Rams and 49ers each missed overtime field goals as the teams played to a 24-24 tie. Steven Jackson had 101 yards and a touchdown on the ground for the Rams, and
Danny Amendola returned from a shoulder injury to make 11 catches for 102
yards.  Sam Bradford threw for 275 yards and two scores for St. Louis, which is
now 3-5-and-1.  It's the first tie in the NFL since the Eagles and Bengals
finished knotted at 13 in November of 2008.  The Rams host the Jets next week.

>>Illinois Falls To Minnesota

(Champaign, IL)  --  Illinois committed two turnovers and couldn't muster enough offense in a 17-3 loss to
Minnesota on Saturday.  Nathan Scheelhaase threw for 175 yards as the Illini
fell to 2-and-8 with a winless 0-and-6 mark in Big Ten play.  Illinois hosts
Purdue next week.

>>College Basketball Roundup

(Undated)  --  The college basketball season got underway this weekend.  Illinois defeated Colgate on Saturday, 75-55.  The Illini host St. Francis tonight.  DePaul crushed UC Riverside
Friday, 91-59.  Notre Dame opened with a 58-49 win over Evansville and hosts
Monmouth tonight.  Northwestern starts its season tomorrow against Texas
Southern.

(Champaign, IL)  --  Illinois basketball hosts St. Francis tonight at Assembly Hall.  The Illini topped
Colgate 75-55 on Friday to open the season.  Brandon Paul led the way with 20
points and eight rebounds.
