>>Bulls Best Kings

(Chicago, IL)  --  Joakim Noah posted 23 points and 10 rebounds to pace the Bulls to a 93-87 season-opening win over the Kings.  Richard Hamilton added 19 points while Luol Deng chipped in with 12 rebounds in
the win.  Carlos Boozer turned in 18 points and eight rebounds for Chicago.  The
Bulls hit the road for the first time on Friday against the Cavaliers.

>>Pippen Named Bulls Advisor

(Chicago, IL)  --  The Bulls have named franchise legend Scottie Pippen senior advisor to team president and COO Michael Reinsdorf.  Pippen spent 12 of his 17 NBA seasons with Chicago.  He will
serve in mostly an ambassador's role with the organization in addition to
mentoring current players.  Pippen averaged 16.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.2
assists in 1,178 career games.

>>Billikens Begin Season

(St. Louis, MO)  --  The Saint Louis Billikens begin their basketball season on Saturday.  They host Rockhurst at Chaifetz Arena in exhibition play.  The Billikens open the regular season
against USC Upstate in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic a week from Friday.


>>Wong, Freeman Selected For AFL Rising Stars Game

(Undated)  --  Second baseman Kolten Wong and pitcher Sam Freeman were
selected to represent the Cardinals in the Arizona Fall League Rising Stars Game
on Saturday.  Wong is hitting .321 with one homer and 10 RBI in the AFL. 
Freeman will not pitch the rest of the fall season due to tendinitis in his left
biceps.

>>NFL Trade Deadline

(Undated)  --  The St. Louis Rams have until 3 p.m. today to make a move.  The NFL trade deadline was
originally set for Tuesday but was pushed back due to Hurricane Sandy.  Rumors
have running back Steven Jackson on the block despite head coach Jeff Fisher
shooting down any thoughts of Jackson's departure.
