Christian County Coroner Amy Calvert Winans has released the identity of the sole occupant involved in a one car vehicle crash on Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred on Rt. 29 .4 miles South of Park St, Taylorville.  53 year old Gary Alexander of Gillespie was pronounced dead on scene at 4:41A.M. The autopsy showed that Mr. Alexander died prior to the crash of natural causes relating to his heart.  Illinois State Police are handling the investigation.  Assisting at the scene were Taylorville Police, Christian County Sheriff office, Taylorville Fire, and Sutton Ambulance.
