>>Giants Clobber Cards To Get Even

(San Francisco, CA)  --  Angel Pagan hit a lead-off homer and the Giants went on to crush the Cardinals, 7-1, in Game Two of the NLCS.  The series is now even at one game each.  Chris
Carpenter doubled in a run in the second for St. Louis, which will host Game
Three on Wednesday.  On the mound, Carpenter allowed five runs, two earned, in
four innings to take the loss.

>>Bears Waive Bell; Sign Eldridge

(Lake Forest, IL)  --  The Bears waived running back Khalil Bell on Monday and signed tight end Brody Eldridge.  Bell rushed for 32 yards on 12 carries in two games this season.  The UCLA
product has ran for 589 yards on 131 touches in 22 career games over three
seasons, all in Chicago.  He also has 21 catches for 148 yards and a touchdown. 
Eldridge has 14 catches for 84 yards in 27 career contests with Indianapolis.

>>Rams Turn Attention To Packers

(Earth City, MO)  --  The Rams are turning the page from Sunday's 17-14 loss at Miami.  St. Louis is shifting focus to this Sunday's contest against the Green Bay Packers at Edward Jones
Dome.  The Rams and Packers each enter the game with a 3-and-3 record.

>>NHL Labor Talks To Resume Today

(Undated)  --  The NHL and players' association are set to get back to the bargaining table today with an
eye on ending the current lockout.  The two sides most recently met last
Wednesday and Thursday but discussed small issues like drug testing and free
agency, not revenue.  The regular season would have begun last Thursday but the
league has cancelled games through October 24th.

>>Bulls Host Bucks Tonight

(Chicago, IL)  --  The Bulls continue preseason play tonight as they battle the Milwaukee Bucks at the United Center.  Chicago is just 1-and-2 in exhibition action following an 82-75 setback at
Minnesota on Saturday.  The Bulls have four more preseason tilts left before
opening the regular season against Sacramento on Halloween.  Tipoff tonight is
at 7:00 p.m.

>>Bulls Waive Emmett

(Chicago, IL)  --  The Bulls waived guard Andre Emmett on Monday.  Emmett averaged just 1.5 points and
1.5 rebounds in 3.8 minutes per game in two of the teams first three preseason
contests.  He is in his third season out of Texas Tech.  The Bulls training camp
roster is now at 16.
