>>Rams Knock Cardinals From Unbeaten Ranks

(St. Louis, MO)  --  Sam Bradford passed for 141 yards and two touchdowns as the Rams battered the
previously-undefeated Cardinals, 17-3, on "Thursday Night Football."  Lance
Kendricks and Chris Givens had the TD grabs for the Rams, who improved to
3-and-2.  The St. Louis defense recorded nine sacks, three of which were by
Robert Quinn.  The Rams play at Miami in Week Six.

>>Cards Clash With Braves In NL Wild Card

(Atlanta, GA)  --  The defending World Series champion Cardinals and Atlanta Braves meet in tonight's National League Wild Card game at Turner Field.  It's a one-game playoff as part of Major League
Baseball's new postseason format, with the winner advancing to take on the NL
East champion Washington Nationals in the best-of-five National League Division
Series.  Kyle Lohse [[ Loash ]] will start for St. Louis, while Atlanta counters
with Kris Medlen.

>>Illini At Wisconsin This Weekend

(Madison, WI)  --  The Illinois Fighting Illini play their second Big Ten tilt this weekend when they square off
against Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon in Madison.  The Illini have dropped
back-to-back games and are coming off a 35-7 setback to Penn State last weekend
in their conference opener.  They sit at 2-and-3 on the season.  Illinois
suffered a 28-17 loss to Wisconsin last season in Champaign.

>>Bears' Jennings Named NFC Defensive Player Of The Month

(New York, NY)  --   Chicago Bears cornerback Tim Jennings has been named the NFC's
Defensive Player of the Month for September.  Jennings led the league with four
interceptions and registered a pick in three of the Bears' four games.  He is
part of a defensive unit that led the NFL with 14 takeaways and 11
interceptions.

>>Bears In Jacksonville

(Jacksonville, FL)  --  The Chicago Bears square off against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at
EverBank Field.  The Bears improved to 3-and-1 on the season with a 34-18 win at
Dallas on "Monday Night Football" during Week Four.  Their lone loss came in
Week Two at Green Bay.  Chicago came away with a 23-10 win over Jacksonville the
last time the two teams played in 2008.
