the Cubs in Chicago today.

Cubs 5-3 at Wrigley Field. Cincinnati clinched at least a Wild Card berth,
becoming the first team to secure a playoff spot this season. Anthony Rizzo
went 2-for-4 with two RBI for Chicago.

(Kansas City, MO) -- Eric Hosmer's RBI single in the ninth completed a comeback from three runs down as the Royals downed the White Sox, 4-3. A.J. Pierzynski was 2-for-4 with an RBI for
Chicago. Jesse Crain took the loss in relief. The White Sox now hold a
two-game lead over Detroit in the AL Central. The Southsiders kick off a
three-game series against the Angels tonight in Anaheim. Jake Peavy will go up
against Ervin Santana in the opener.

(Chicago, IL) -- The Chicago Bears host the St. Louis Rams on Sunday at Soldier Field. The Bears dropped to 1-and-1 on the season after suffering a 23-10 loss at Green Bay last Thursday
night. They won their season-opener over Indianapolis in Week One. Chicago
beat the Rams, 17-9, the last time the two teams played in 2009.

(Champaign, IL) -- The Illinois Fighting Illini host Louisiana Tech on Saturday evening in Champaign. The
Illini are coming off a 44-0 victory versus Charleston Southern last weekend to
improve to 2-and-1 on the season. Their lone loss came in Week Two at Arizona
State. Starting quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase missed his second-straight game
last weekend with a sprain ankle.

(South Bend, IN) -- The 15th-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish host bitter rival and 17th-ranked Michigan on Saturday evening in South Bend. The Irish improved to 3-and-0 for the first time since
2002 with a 20-3 victory at then-10th-ranked Michigan State last weekend. ND
hasn't beaten the Wolverines since 2008. Michigan rallied for a 35-31 win over
the Golden Domers last season in Ann Arbor.
