The Christian County Sheriff's Office and the Christian County Coroner's Office are investigating the apparent suicide of a local man.
According to reports, Christian County 911 got a medical emergency call around 10:30 Sunday morning. Sheriff's Deputies, Taylorville Police, Illinois State Police and the Coroner's Office responded.
When they got there, they reportedly found Carl Eugene Tucker 54 of Taylorville dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
An autopsy was scheduled for Monday. If you know anything about the incident, you are asked to call the Christian County Sheriff's Office at 824-4961.
