Plane Did Not Dump Fuel

More information is coming to light regarding a fatal plane crash that occurred Saturday morning in a residential area of Taylorville.

Several eyewitnesses have said the aircraft was dumping fuel just before the impact, but authorities say the Beechcraft 18 twin engine plane did not have the ability to dump fuel.

An eyewitness says the pilot was nevertheless attempting to dump the fuel.

The witness says his first reaction was to flee the scene.

No one on the ground was injured, even though the impact shattered windows on nearby homes and reportedly left a four foot deep crater.

The pilot, 30 year old Brandon Sparrow of Augusta, Illinois was killed instantly and was pronounced dead on the scene by Christian County Coroner Amy Calver-Winans.
