Early Monday morning officers were sent to 525 East Park Street in reference to battery. Aaron Ballion said that Allen Schreier 23 of Taylorville punched him in the face and then left.
Officers located Schreier in the alleyway behind the Taylorville Police Department. Schreier was arrested and brought in for processing.
Schreier was charged with battery, disorderly conduct and a city ordinance violation for public intoxication Schreier was also found to have a valid Montgomery County Warrant as well. Schreier was sent to the Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond.
