The debate over beer at Chillifest is continuing. There is an even split between alderman, with 4 aldermen that are for having beer at the Chillifest, and 4 aldermen that are against the measure.
Alderman Earl Walters of Ward IV says he is against having beer at Chillifest for two reasons.

Alderman Bruce Jones of Ward II is also against the measure and says that he does not want the city to assume some of the responsibility if beer was allowed at Chillifest.

Alderman Ernie Dorchinez of Ward III is for having beer at the Chillifest and compared the Chillifest to a local family business.

Alderman Ray Koonce of Ward I is also for having beer at the Chillifest and says that he does not think responsible people should be punished because of a few irresponsible people.
