in a 5-4 win over the Pirates. Allen Craig clubbed a two-run homer and Yadier
Molina added a solo shot for St. Louis, which snapped a three-game slide. Jake
Westbrook tossed six innings of four-run ball to get the win and Jason Motte [[
MOTT ]] closed it out to lock up his 17th save of the season. The Cardinals
welcome the Colorado Rockies to town this evening for the start of a four-game

Four Cardinals made the National League All-Star roster including two starters.
Rafael Furcal will make his third appearance in the All-Star Game and start at
shortstop while Carlos Beltran makes his seventh appearance in the outfield.
Catcher Yadier Molina made the team for the fourth time as a reserve while
pitcher Lance Lynn will be at his first All-Star Game. The NL will face the
American League on July 10th from Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.

(Chicago, IL) -- The Cubs scored three runs
in the sixth inning to back seven-and-two-third scoreless frames from Travis
Wood en route to a 3-0 win over the Astros. Wood fanned four and allowed just
three hits to improve to 3-and-3 on the season. Carlos Marmol closed it out to
lock up his eighth save for Chicago, which swept the three-game set at Wrigley
Field. Anthony Rizzo had an RBI single and Jeff Baker added a two-run double in
the decisive inning. The Cubs start a four-game series against the Braves in
Atlanta tonight. Jeff Samardzija takes the ball against Tommy Hanson in the
opener.

Eric Chavez and Robinson Cano each clubbed a two-run homer to lead the Yankees in a 4-2 win over
the White Sox. Kevin Youkilis and Alex Rios both knocked in a run for Chicago.
Gavin Floyd was saddled with the loss after allowing all four runs in
five-and-a-third frames of duty. The White Sox host the Rangers for a
three-game set beginning tonight with Chris Sale opposite Roy Oswalt.

The "Omaha World-Herald" reports Michael Jordan's son was arrested in Omaha early
Sunday morning. According to the report, 21-year-old Marcus Jordan was arrested
for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstructing. Marcus reportedly
appeared to be very intoxicated and was arguing with two females at a hotel
driveway at about 2:10 a.m. local time. Marcus averaged 13.7 points in 31 games
with the University of Central Florida last season.
