Matt Holliday lofted a sac-fly in the fifth to tie the game at one for St. Louis. Victor Marte [[ mar-TAY ]] took the loss. Kyle Lohse [[ Loash ]] threw seven innings of one-run ball for the Cards. St. Louis starts a three-game set with Kansas City tonight.

(Phoenix, AZ) -- The Chicago Cubs kick off a three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks this evening at Chase Field. Jeff Samardzija [[ suh-MARD-juh ]] gets the nod opposite Joe Saunders in the opener. The Northsiders took two-of-three from the White Sox in their last set to improve to 24-and-45 on the season.

(Chicago, IL) -- The Chicago White Sox are back on the diamond this evening as they open up a three-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers at The Cell. Chris Sale will go up against Zack Greinke [[ GRAIN-key ]] in game one. The Southsiders dropped two-of-three to the Cubs in their last set, but won Wednesday's finale to improve to 36-and-33 on the season.

(Chicago, IL) -- The Chicago Blackhawks have released their 2012-13 regular season schedule. The 'Hawks open up their campaign against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday, October 13th at the United Center. Their first road game is on Tuesday, October 16th versus the Winnipeg Jets at the MTS Centre.

(St. Louis, MO) -- The St. Louis Blues have released their 2012-13 regular season schedule. The Blues open the season with two road games. Their first contest is in Denver against the Avalanche. St. Louis' first home game is October 18th against the Red Wings.

(New York, NY) -- Chicago Bulls MVP point guard Derrick Rose is second in the NBA's International jersey sales. Lakers guard Kobe Bryant is tops on the list. Rose had the top-selling jersey in the United States, which is not factored into the international sales total. Rose continues to rehabilitate his surgically repaired knee. Rose was in Alabama earlier this week to consult with renowned Dr. James Andrews and a physical therapist. The 23-year-old injured his ACL on April 28th in Game One of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals. He had surgery on May 12th. The recovery process is 8-to-12 months.
