The Office of Christian County State’s Attorney is up for grabs, with two candidates vying for the position. Republican candidate and current State’s Attorney Appellate Prosecutor Lorinda Lamken has been attending council meetings across Christian County.

Lamken ran for the Republican nomination for Christian County State’s Attorney unopposed in the primaries. Lamken’s opponent Democrat and current Christian County Public Defender Mike Havera defeated incumbent Tom Finks in a landslide victory of 1,811 votes to 265 votes.
