It's been close to a year now since Taylorville's movie theater closed its doors. Mayor Greg Brotherton says he is excited about efforts to reopen the facility.

Mike Wiseman of Taylorville is the local entrepreneur leading the effort to reopen the theater, which is located on the north side of the Taylorville Square.
