On Saturday officers were sent to the 1500 block of West Elm Street in regards to a child allegedly found in a parking lot. Officers arrived and after an investigation Josh Haines 27 of Taylorville and Amanda L. Allen 23 of Vandalia were arrested for child endangerment.

Both were transported to the Taylorville Police Department, processed, and released on a notice to appear. The children in question were turned over to their grandmother.
