Sharon Walker who works for Ameren recently was checking meters for her job. Then Walker found a wallet while checking a meter. Walker then gave the wallet to the Christian County Sheriff’s Office who gave it to its rightful owner. The wallet contained nearly $500. Walker was honored on Thursday at the Christian County Sheriff’s Office with a Certificate of Recognition.

Walker says that it is good to be recognized.

Christian County Sheriff Bruce Kettelkamp says that it would have been easy for Walker to take the wallet.

Kettelkamp also said, “Ms. Walker’s actions that day represented the finest in personal integrity and professional commitment. I am pleased to be able to award this Certificate of Recognition to her on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Christian County.”
