Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Committee chair Linda Smith presented college scholarships to 3 winners, at the Chamber’s annual meeting Friday night at the Taylorville Memorial Hospital auditorium.
From the Left: Nathan Brown, a senior at Taylorville High School, was given 2 semesters of tuition and fees at the University of Illinois in Springfield. Brown is majoring in computer science.
Hayden Gardner, a senior at Taylorville High School, was given 2 semesters tuition and fees at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield. Gardner is majoring in chiropractic medicine.
And, John Morrell, a senior at Central A-and-M High School, was given 2 semesters of tuition and fees at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield. Morrell will major is European history or English. Total value of the 3 scholarships is nearly 16-thousand dollars.
